What does Thep Innovative do?

What is a custom ICC profile used for?
A custom ICC profile describes color reproduction for a specific printer, ink, media and print setup. Thep Innovative prints and measures a profiling target, builds the profile and validates it under the production conditions in use. The profile works together with calibration and the RIP workflow.
Why do different printers produce different colors?
Printer characteristics, inks, media, print settings and calibration can all affect the printed result. Color management starts by checking these conditions, then adjusting the workflow and creating a suitable profile for each setup. Using the same image file alone does not establish a common color standard.
Can I keep using the same ICC profile after changing ink or media?
A profile is made for the conditions used to create it. After changing ink, media or print settings, check the printed result before reusing the profile. Thep Innovative can assess the setup to determine whether calibration, a new profile or another workflow adjustment is appropriate.

Can five sublimation printers with different brands and inks print to the same color standard?
This is the goal of our five-printer sublimation project in Showcase. The machines use different brands, inks and printhead counts. We work with a common color target and adjust the ICC profile and workflow for each machine, then compare the outputs. The achievable match depends on each printing setup and needs to be checked on actual prints.
What are the steps in your custom ICC profile service?
We first collect details about the printer, ink, media and RIP. We then print and measure the profiling target, build and optimize the ICC profile, and validate the printed result. The service also includes installation guidance and recommendations for controlling color in production.
What should I prepare before requesting a consultation or quote?
Prepare the printer brand and model, number of machines, ink, media, RIP software and a description of the color problem or production goal. Sample prints or comparison images help explain the issue.
